Vehicle Path (VPath) for Windows, AutoCAD and 12d Model, calculates the swept path of vehicles which follow a predefined steering path. Vehicle swept paths are used in road design to check that there is sufficient room for turning vehicles to operate safely on the road network and to avoid causing damage to roadside furniture. Swept path templates are also used by vehicle designers to check that vehicles will meet the swept path performance standards set by vehicle licencing authorities.

When interoperating with AutoCAD, the VPath control panel allows the user to select a vehicle from a list of standard or custom vehicles for driving along a steering path that has been set out on an AutoCAD drawing and have the swept path generated in the drawing. Similarly, it is possible to generate a turning template at a given position on the drawing. The user does not have to work with data files as with standalone operation.
