سد هوور (hoover) یکی از بزرگترین سد های قوسی وزنی دنیا و از عجایب هفت گانه مهندسی عمران است.این سد در منطقه Black Canyon ،بروی رودخانه کلورادو احداث شده است.این سد در زمان هم بزرگترین سازه بتنی محسوب میشد و هم بزرگترین ژنراتور تولید برق را در خود جا داده بود.ساخت سد از سال 1931 آغاز و در سال 1936 خاتمه یافت.
